Buffalo Mountain: FebPhotos Day 1

A beautiful, springlike Sunday afternoon led us to the top of Buffalo Mountain in Floyd County. Temperatures in the mid-50's brought a number of folks out to the Natural Area Preserve, and there were a half-dozen cars in the small parking area. It was a nice sunny beginning for this month's a-photo-or-more a day project.

Your pictures give me a hankering for a road trip to the mountains.
I love the close up shot of the tree knot - it's proximity renders it more of an abstract than an object - I dig it!

Thanks! I'm playing with a new macro lens, and there will probably be a lot of indoor abstract photos this month. It's kind of tough to get outside with adequate light this time of year. So look for weird abstractions!
